Nuh’s Ark Academy derives its name from one of the most revered prophets in the Islamic tradition, Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him). For nearly a millennium, Prophet Nuh (pbuh) endeavored to guide his community towards righteousness amidst widespread wickedness and indifference. His story of persistence and clarity of purpose in the midst of mass confusion inspires our mission.

Today, amidst the flood of challenges overwhelming young minds, Nuh’s Ark aspires to be a sanctuary that nurtures Islamic values, etiquette, and teachings, a vehicle that keeps them afloat and steers them to safety. We are dedicated to fostering the innate fitra (primordial nature) within our children, encouraging them to discover and connect with their Creator through His signs, God willing.

Knowledge is Light

True knowledge is a light placed in the heart. We believe the teacher’s role is to help the student refine their character, first and foremost, so the heart finds its place as a vessel for that light.

With children, their hearts are pure, so we’re charged with keeping them protected and nourished long enough for them to develop fortified strength to resist the corrosive elements that will ruin and rust the heart.

When the heart is illumined, the world becomes illumined, and the Divine Order is set aright and harmony prevails. It all starts with our children.

Quality Over Quantity

I’m so happy to see my daughters thrive in this environment. Their personalities differ so much and each one is attended to as an individual and never lost in a group or neglected.

The Right Balance

Glad to have my kids learning traditional Islamic material in a contemporary fashion integrated with science backed teaching methods. They’ll be well prepared for higher education as they are grounded in tradition but flexible enough to learn new material,

Wholesome Environment

We debated homeschooling versus schooling for a while. Ultimately, Nuh’s Ark provided us with the best balance, incorporating the elements of homeschooling we loved but relieving us of the demanding schedule it requires.

FAQs

Where is the academy located?

Both the early-childhood program and the academy are located in San Ramon, CA.

What commitment is required from the students?

The students first and foremost must be committed to learning and implementing good character, inside and outside of the home. Daily time commitment largely depends on level of participation in the program.

What commitment is required from the parents?

The parents must commit to reenforcing the lessons of good adab as well as enforcing the media policy.

What results can I expect from enrolling my child?

You can expect that your child will be in an environment that will stimulate their minds, nourish their hearts, and exercise their bodies.

How much does the program cost?

Largely depending on program participation. Please contact us for more details.

Why is the academy so small and will you expand to allow more students in?

We believe in a low student to teacher ratio so that each student will receive attention that is suitable to their needs. This will ensure quality education and a quality environment.

Expansion is not in our immediate plans, although we understand the need and demand and hope to help relieve it in the near future.

How do I know if Nuh’s Ark is right for us?

Please sign up for a tour and interview. You will get to ask our Director questions as well as see how a typical day runs.

Can I withdraw my child at anytime?

While we understand circumstances change, we require a full year’s commitment as the number of spots is very restricted and thus results in many kids not afforded entry.
